DAY 1 - MARRAKECH - AGADIR - AÏT MOUSSA PALM GROVE
you'll be picked up from your Marrakech hotel at 7 AM and set out on a 2.5-hour drive to Agadir via the highway. From there, you'll follow a scenic mountain road that rises above Ait Melloul, offering views of argan-covered landscapes and charming traditional villages. Your hike begins in the village of Aït Lhaj, leading you through fields and an argan forest with panoramic vistas of the Aït Moussa palm grove. After a leisurely lunch, you'll descend via a winding path to reach your camp. The afternoon will be spent exploring and enjoying the serene beauty of the Aït Moussa palm grove.
DAY 2: THE GORGES AND PALMERAIE OF TARGA N'TOUCHKA
In the morning, enjoy a walk through cultivated fields and interact with the local inhabitants. We depart the palm grove via a path that overlooks the valley, climbing for about an hour until we reach the village of Aït Moussa. From here, you’ll be treated to a stunning view of its rugged gorges, where banana crops thrive. We then leave the gorges to cross the Timzguida Pass (520 m), followed by a second ascent that leads us to the village of Aghrighre, renowned for its traditional mountain architecture. We descend to a picturesque canyon for lunch by the water’s edge, shaded by palm trees. In the afternoon, we continue our journey along the gorges to the palm grove of Targa n'Touchka
DAY 3: THE VALLEY OF ANZI
The day starts with a walk through the palm grove of Targa n'Touchka, where you'll explore its three sacred springs, each believed to have special virtues: one is said to cure kidney stones, another is thought to address skin issues, and the last is a place where girls throw pebbles, hoping to hit the rock above and find a future husband. As you explore the oasis, you'll have the opportunity to meet local residents. We’ll then leave the palm grove and ascend through a small canyon, where we’ll pause for a lunch break. In the afternoon, we’ll cross a pass (730 m) before descending into the Imzi Valley, renowned for its almond trees. We’ll enjoy a homestay tea before heading to our camp near the village.
DAY 4: THE TAGDICHTE GORGES
Begin the day with a walk through the rugged gorges of Tagdichte, followed by an ascent to a pass at 1300 meters, leading to a descent into Inzguérne, a village perched on a cliff with stunning views. Enjoy lunch by the river. In the afternoon, climb through olive and argan trees to reach the Tizi n'Tlgout pass at 1500 meters, where a vehicle will be waiting to transport you to your camp at the base of Jebel Lekst.
DAY 5: DJEBEL LEKST
A steady climb will lead you to the Lekst Ridge, reaching an altitude of 2259 meters. The shepherds' trail, lightly marked, weaves through green oaks, high meadows, and rocky outcrops. With a bit of luck, you might even spot some Cuvier’s gazelles that still inhabit the massif. From the summit, enjoy breathtaking views of the High Atlas, Siroua, the Great South, and Tafraoute. Afterward, a long descent will bring us to Anergui, where a vehicle will be waiting to transport you to Anamer. You’ll camp at the base of the date palms at 1000 meters.
DAY 6: TAFRAOUTE
In the morning, take a walk to reach Tafraoute and explore the village, with the opportunity to purchase the renowned embroidered red babouches. Visit the famous Painted Rocks, created by Belgian artist Jean Veran in 1984. Afterward, we’ll drive to the Souss Plain and Agadir. Check-in at your hotel, followed by a free evening and dinner at your leisure.
